X7 not getting air

Alright I have been searching for about a week for an answer to this!

Bought a used x7 (not phenom) screwed tank in and pulled trigger to no result. So I ended up taking it apart with the help of you tube. I replaced and oiled most of the o-rings if not all. I put it back together and same thing is wrong.

It seems as though there is no air transfer into the gun itself. The bolt cocks back and when trigger is pulled it goes forward. The gun does the same thing whether co2 is in the gun or not.

I played around with the tube and tombstone out of the gun by hooking it to the co2 and air goes through the tombstone...so my problem seems to be after that but I can't figure it out!
Please help!!

do these have the same fundamental setup as an A5? Single tube poppet markers that are sear tipped and regulated by the power tube?

Yup, they're just an A-5 with a few other bolt-ons, just as the A-5 is a 98C with a few bolt-ons.

Chasing the air.

Air goes in the ASA - I'm going to assume your tank is putting out air - so that isn't likely to be your issue.

Does it get to the end of the ASA hose and into the regulator/expansion chamber/gas-thru grip? If you can - undo the fittings and verify that.

After that - I believe it goes into the power tube. if the air is getting to the power tube - you should be able to hit the valve pin and make air come out the barrel (power tube). If it doesn't - odds are the valve pin isn't depressing and opening up the valve (frozen valve). If the valve is open- you should have air leaking down the barrel. If the valve pin is not frozen, and air isn't coming out the barrel - I'd throw my money on the issue being your valve screw is too far in/out. I'm not incredibly well versed in Tippmann power tubes - but poppets seem to mostly work the same. Air goes to a valve. Valve opens. Air races thru valve. If you open the valve and the air doesn't race out - then the valve isn't getting air. If it's getting to the fitting bfeore the power tube...then the issue is likely the velocity screw.

Thank you all...Spring looked fine when I took it apart the first time...but since I heard it may be that a few times I swapped the spring for a new one and boom! It fires away! Thanks to everyone for sharing your knowledge!
