Which barrel is better? In this case, Its hard to choose which is better, because to test them you'd have to have the same bored paint being shot through the same bored barrel to see which is better. I am not talking about the freak kit vs just the stock ultralight. I am asking, if you had a 686 ultralight and a 686 freak, and the paint was the same bore on every ball, which barrel would be more accurate?

Yeah, the UL is a bit louder and more efficient due to less porting than the standard freak front.

But as far as accuracy, they're both quality made smooth bore aluminum tubes that an imperfect liquid filled gellatin sphere is going through. Not exactly the greatest formula for pinpoint accuracy.

You're talking about imperfect spheres going through an aluminum tube. If it's smooth and properly sized, all barrels will have idenctical accuracy given identical paint and identical exit velocity. The barrel simply does not affect accuracy to any great extent. Freak, UL, J&J, CP, Shaft, Deathstix, Sly, etc. will give you the same accuracy. The only reliable way to get better accuracy is to use better paint. You want pinpoint accuracy, get a Tiberius that can use the first strike rounds and use first strike rounds. Otherwise, get whatever barrel you happen to like and offers you bores that fit the paint you use well.
