New To Pb: Thinking About Game Face Vexor

Well, as you can tell from the title, I am new to paintballing. I have a couple of friends that are really avid pballer's and it is just now rubbing off on me. I am not a complete noob lol, i have done my research, and need all of your opinions.

I have been searching around for a good begginers marker that can grow with me, and can also be upgraded. Some of you might recall that i was looking into the Rodeo, and then the imagine. I think both would be great begginers markers, buy my friend (hes one of the guys that is really into paintball that i mentioned) and i picked out the "Game Face Vexor Eye Paintball Gun - Silver / Black Glossy Fade."

We picked it out because it was in my price range, looked cool (which i know shouldn't matter lol) came stock with some more "advanced features," and i heard that some place voted it best marker under 200.

What I want to know from you great people is basically everything you know about the gun. I know the basic specs about the marker from the manufactures website, but thats all i can learn about it.

Is it a great gun for the price?
Is it a great begginers gun?
Is it upgradeable? Im sure it is but i CAN"T find any upgrades for it anywhere, so what would be some good upgrades for it in tearms of barrel, bolt, and maybe reg?

I plan to get the vexor, with a viewloader eVLution II hopper, and my friends hpa tank after i buy it cheap from him.

I want to be able to upgrade the barrel to prob a 14 inch, seeing as everyone says to upgrade stock barrels, and i might want to upgrade the bolt as i THINK some people have said that it scrathes the marker.

So, any help would be greatly appriciated. Remember please give me suggestins on what to get just as long as its not really expensive.

Thanks for all the help and sorry for the long post.

To tell you the truth, I really don'y know much about it. If your price range is about 250-290, then I would suggest getting a Smart Parts Ion, or Diablo Wrath. Both are pretty fast ( Wrath is 20 BPS, and Ion is 17 BPS) both have some sort of locking feedneck, both have eye's,and LPR's.

the vexor has eye's, and a locking feedneck, i dunno where but i did read it was voted the absolute best marker under 200 bux.

yea, for a beginner gun one oughta think it'd be pretty good.

sorry for the misunderstanding, but my i don't want to spend 300 on a gun yet, remember i am just starting out. I found this marker for like 150 online, and I think it is a really great marker to start out with. So far, thanks for the help.

Marker Setup: Vexor Eye, Ricochet Apache Hopper, Nitro Tank

Recommended
Upgrades: Nothing

Product Year: 2005

Strengths: Great gun, Fires fast, and never had it chop

Weaknesses: It is a little shiny and can give your position if your trying to hide

Review: This is the best gun i have ever used. It will fire as fas as you can, and it never chops. I used to have the Regular Vexor and i loved that so much that when i got too good for it i wanted to stay with another Game Face product so i got this. If you saw the review in international paintball magazine you'll know what im talking about. This is the best gun ever under 200$

I just used it in an airball fiend this weekend. It works great or something like that. It is not great like i said in weaknesses for when your trying to be a sniper because it is shiny. But for normal speedball and airball, and woodsball it works great! i love the barrel on this. I put a new spring in it so it would shoot a little bit faster. I would guess mine at about 15 bps. It is a really new gun and i ahve never seen anybody else with it but i dont know why i think when more people test it it will become widely popular.

Conclusion: Buy it

Rating: 10 out of 10

got that from pbreview.com

Ok cool. I am like 99.9% sure that this is the marker im going to get, but i was wondering if there is anyone out there that knows of upgrades for this marker in terms of like a barrel and bolt, and where i can view them.

Thanks for any help.

Wrong and wrong. Ion doesnt have a locking feedneck, and no LPR either.

But yea, vexor eye is only a spyder with eyes. Ion or Wrath would be a much better investment, and will take you farther.

If intent on the spyder design, buy an imagine, t-board it and then drill eyes for it.

Meh, I dont like gameface because ive seen to amny of thier guns just...die.

go for ion or wrath. Dont up a cheap gun, save for a high end. Cheap guns have a tendency to just wear out.

I would suggest the ion because ive had more hands on time with it. But just get HPA and a nice hopper. You'll kick yourself in the end when you get that high end gun and realise what you could have done with the money you spent on ups for a cheap gun.

Hanky, i understand what your saying, but i just don't want to spend 300+$ for my first marker.

And iluvwpg, are you talking about me upgrading a vexor, or hanky's idea of getting a imagine and upgrading (in terms of "why do that?")

So a vexor can be upgraded with spyder parts?

#13 ·
just get a vexor, it's like a imagine except looks kewler, has eyes STOCK has a better frame STOCK and better feedneck STOCK...it stock is basically an upped spyder so i'd go with that.

I'm pissed i didn't cause now i have to up my spyder and once i get a new frame, feedneck, and bolt...that totals to $165 plus the price of my gun $100... so i'll have spent $265 upping my spyder to get it as good as the vexor.

edit: o yes, the stock barrel is better too.

edit#2: but i already have a better barrel so that means the upps in total would be 200...making a grand total of 300...i could of got 2 vexors.

edit#3: idk, i'll email them and ask

That sucks, sorry to hear that, thats what I originally wanted to do with a rodeo, get a e-frame for it and a new barrel and that would have cost me a lot more then the vexor, which i think stock(though i may be wrong) is better then some stock spyders.

Edit: So it can take spyder upgrades?

So, if this can take spyder upgrades, ill probably end up getting:

The Vexor
J&J 14" 1 Piece Spyder Barrel
Kingman Delrin ACS Bolt
hpa tank
and viewloader eVLution II hopper.

Unless something here won't work with a Vexor. Any other suggestions?

Don't get the bolt. Its not worth putting it on that gun.

Lube the bolt well and you probolly wont have problems with the bolt. Lube expecially for paintball works best, search around, im sure theres a list somewhere.

ooooooooo............ i thought u were gonna get it to stop chops...if ur just gettn it to be a better bolt get a superfly bolt.

dude x-paintball has cheap spyder's there cheap and good to start off with thats just my opinion and the village is a little pricey on the low end guns
