Im definitely going to get an Etek 3 as my next gun but I'm debating on which one to get. I heard that the Am breaks much easier than the LT because if you make a bad dive it will dent and stay that way. Is this true? Does it have to be a terrible dive where u smash it on the ground? Also, one of the big reasons I want an AM is because of the LCD board and also the color choices for it are much better than the LT in my opinion. I really want a specific color/style but I can only find it in AM. Is there any where I can get it in LT? Which one do you suggest getting? Thanks

I own a Etek3 LT.

GRN - Glass reenforced nylon - probably a lower grade, but the same stuff a glock handgun is said to be made out of.

The three pieces on the marker that are made from the substance are the feed neck, the grip/trigger frame, and the eye covers.

I can't see the eye covers ever being an issue, as they're eye covers. Most shots come at you from a forward facing position. If your marker is 'up', it should hit you in the vertical regulator or hopper, not in your eye covers.

The feed neck, I'm a bit weary about - I want to replace it, but I'm also holding off, waiting for it to break on me. It hasn't yet, and I've taken some pretty epic-fail-worthy dives (kinda surprised they haven't found their way to YouTube yet). Honestly, I'm probably going to be upgrading to the AM frame kit before I get a college try at breaking this thing.

The trigger frame. Yeah, I've felt it bend a bit while tasting astroturf - palms up, of course. The first time it bent, it bothered the heck out of me, as I own an old school tourney marker and I thought I'd just bent a metal grip frame that would be hard to replace. Turns out the LT returned to the shape it was originally. No problems.

Ultimately - Unless you're hardcore about having all-aluminum markers, or are colorblind and have issues seeing certain colors - preventing you from programming the marker, save yourself the cash and spend it on a better loader/mask.

the AM upgrade isn't all that worth it really. unless the feel of the GRN bothers you, the LT is the better way to go. the only REAL advantage of the AM/AM Kit is you can put an E-Mortal OLED board in (whoo fancy toy). if you really need an oled board (learn to count lights, its cheaper) get an ape or a virtue *shrug*

had a bit of a discussion with miller about this.

While we can learn to count lights, its a lot easier said and done when you can double verify the mode you're modifying, is the color it says.

Yep. Colorblind. OLED is a good friend... but, I'm also looking-and looking heavily at the Empire Sniper pump. Why go electronic, when you can go light and mobile?

the reason you cant find the LT in the same color scheme is because you cant color the LT bits the same way you can the aluminum. while you can get a LCD or OLED screen board for the AM its really not worth it. in order to adjust either board beyond mode, you have to open up the grip frame, and this will be true of any board. when you open up the grip frame on the AM at least, and i assume its on the LT as well, they have printed what each color means on the inside of the grip. fantastic idea! so its not that complicated at all.

so i wouldnt let the board make the decision for you. if the color is important to you then thats a good reason
